Apple has acknowledged that it is possible to identify users of Wi-Fi for the iPhone and data on the cell tower that information is encrypted and anonymous. According to press reports, the researchers observed the positions of the data on the iPhone is a database of access points and repeaters Wi-Fi around the current location of users to prevent the iPhone from Apple to help quickly and accurately calculate its position if necessary.
